Anna is based in South-East England. She grew up in rural West Sussex, surrounded by the lush beauty of the English countryside and some of the finest orchards in the country. Nature inspires her art and her paintings show us nature's beauty in all its perfection.
The affection she has for her subjects is evident in her paintings and with her use of close-up and unusual compositions she has succeeded in capturing the vibrancy of nature with her brush in a way that gives her artwork immense impact.
Anna is entirely self-taught and the Royal Horticultural Society Picture Committee described Anna's paintings as "very bold and executed with great energy". The RHS went on to award her the Dawn Jolliffe bursary for Botanical Art to assist her to exhibit at the BBC Gardener's World Live show in June 2007.
At this show, Anna was awarded an RHS Gold Medal and the Best in Show award.
It is very rare for an artist to receive such an award on their first attempt.
The RHS have purchased original paintings and prints from Anna for their Lindley Library botanical art collection.
Much of her work is available as greetings cards and as limited edition prints.
